Food For Thought From Mast Brothers Towing

Check your insurance coverage on your vehicle. A lot of people only have liability insurance on their vehicles, and no towing coverage. This can get expensive fast if you have a crash. Usually the difference between having liability insurance and full coverage is not a large jump in cost, and you are covered.   Also making sure that you have towing coverage will save you during a break down or accident. Towing also usually covers lock outs and jump starts.  Check with your insurance provider and make sure you are covered. An accident is just that, and they are never expected. Be prepared. Helpful hints provided by your friends at Mast Bros. Towing.

Real Estate Is So Much Fun!

As a CPA I get to deal with all kinds of tax issues in various industries. I work with contractors, doctors, architects, engineers, retired folks, investors, businesses, consultants and so much more.

AND IT IS FUN! I love the tax world. Of course, Congress has made the tax laws so complex that I will never run out of work to do. That’s okay with me

BUT, IN THE TAX WORLD, REAL ESTATE IS MY FAVORITE SUBJECT. And it is truly a world unto itself. The tax laws surrounding real estate are incredible and some of the most flexible on the planet. Really.

Top 5 Mistakes People Make When Looking for a New Job

There are many ways to give yourself the best odds when you’re looking for a job — and just as many ways to ruin them. Here are five common mistakes that people make that keep them from getting the job of their dreams.

Apply Without a Plan
If you don’t have a job now, you might feel like applying to every possible job can help maximize your chances of finding something that can work for you. In fact, this doesn’t help at all and can distract you from going hard after the jobs you really have a chance with. “People who say ‘I need to consider anything and everything’ are really doing themselves a disservice,” says Lisa Arnold, director of recruiting at Versique in Minneapolis. “A person who is general in looking for a job or in talking about what you have done is really going to be left behind in this market.” Instead, identify the job you really want and what you need to do to get it.
